Company Background
Garyali Architect Inc./Marshall & Garyali Architects was established in 1990 from the predecessor firm of Marshall, Goldsworthy and Associates, which Donovan Marshall founded in 1974. Shiv Garyali joined Marshall, Goldsworthy and Associates in 1979 as associate in charge of design. With the re-organization of the firm to Garyali Architect Inc., Shiv Garyali became the principal partner of the company with associates Nick Fiocco, John Armitage and Don Marshall as Technical Advisor, comprising the core of the professional team.
We offer a full range of architectural services including programming, urban planning and interior design. Our design and documentation process is computerized. We use computer programs that enable us to test the accuracy and appropriateness of concepts throughout the design process.
The principal partner, Shiv Garyali, is responsible for and personally supervises all aspects of office projects and strives for excellence in design.

Sir James Douglas Elementary School, designed to harmonize with the scale and character of its residential neighbourhood and incorporates fragments of the original building in the new entrance area.
University of Victoria Fine Arts Building, inspired by classical models and integrated into the campus plan, it creates a gathering place for the entire faculty.
